Therapists on Wheels

Established in 2011, the Zlata Hersch Memorial Therapists on Wheels (TOW) Program—named in honor of a generous benefactor—provides paramedical therapy to children living in Israel’s peripheral communities, including the far north and south. In these areas, access to therapists is limited, and long travel distances create additional challenges for families.

Through this program, highly qualified therapists travel directly to where children with special needs live, delivering physical, speech, and occupational therapy at the highest professional level. Keren Malki fully funds the cost of treatment, including travel expenses.

A dedicated multi-disciplinary advisory board of senior professionals—including doctors, social workers, and therapists—all volunteers, carefully oversees and manages each case to ensure children receive the best possible care.

Eligibility

✔ The child must have a significant physical disability, with documentation required annually. ✔ The child must reside in the family home, not an institution.

This program ensures that every child, regardless of location, has access to essential therapies to support their development and well-being.
